WHAT IS GRAVEL ESCAPE?
Ride a stunning lap of Sussex, completing a challenging 100, 150 or 200km.
Starting and finishing from Pharmacie in Lewes, escape traffic and noise, and enjoy the best gravel and off-road paths Sussex has to offer.
Gravel Escape takes in the South Downs Way, crosses networks of disused railway lines now covered in champagne gravel, plus epic forest trails, and lesser ridden country lanes that knit the route together, all in a day.

GRAVEL ESCAPE 200
The toughest and most challenging of the routes at Gravel Escape. The 200km takes in all the best gravel riding that Sussex can offer, with an extremely varied route, amazing views and a huge sense of achievement.
GRAVEL ESCAPE 150
The 150km takes in the highlights of the 200km route without some of the climbing. It still has 2,000m of elevation so this is not an easy day out! Gravel Escape 150 is a great challenge for a rider looking to step up to a really big day in the saddle.
GRAVEL ESCAPE 100
The 100km covers some of the best parts of the 200km route and also enjoys its own path across mid-Sussex. With over 1,000m of elevation this is a great introduction to long distance gravel bike riding.

We are holding a pilot event on Saturday 13th June for 100 riders.
We are looking for adventurous riders who want to say they were there for the first event, and help us shape the future roll out of Gravel Escape across the UK.
